CNC Machine Tool Sheet Metal Guards are fabricated barriers fitted around selected machining areas and moving equipment zones. They are used on CNC machining centers, lathes and milling machines as localized panels or guard assemblies around the working area.

Cold-rolled steel and stainless steel options cover 1.5–3.0 mm sheet. Where a guard spans an opening beside the machining zone, the thicker specified section increases bending stiffness compared with the same panel shape in thinner stock.

Formed Returns Along Guard Edges
Drawing-defined return edges face the barrier around the protected zone. Where chips and splash travel across a panel toward its perimeter, these formed boundaries interrupt the direct path beyond the flat edge and guide material toward the intended collection area.

Joined Corners for Multi-Panel Guards
Robotic and hybrid welding join the specified guard sections. Where adjoining panels form a corner around the work area, a welded assembly reduces the number of overlapping separate panels that must be aligned during installation.

Quality Control

Incoming sheet is checked before fabrication. First-article inspection verifies machine attachment references, adjoining-panel alignment and the dimensions of any specified observation-window opening.

In-process inspection checks joint appearance, distortion and accessible edge condition. Recorded defects are corrected and rechecked before the guard reaches finishing.

Each completed guard receives a pre-packing appearance and assembly-fit inspection. Calibrated measuring tools support the checks, and order-related quality records are retained.
