Quality Control

At CNAKST, quality control is integrated into the manufacturing of custom sheet metal enclosures, industrial cabinets, chassis, and fabricated metal components.

Product acceptance is based on approved engineering drawings, material specifications, dimensional tolerances, surface finish requirements, and assembly conditions. Our inspection procedures cover incoming materials, first-article verification, production-stage inspections, and final product inspection before shipment.

Our Quality Control Process

Engineering Drawing Review

We review material grades, sheet thickness, dimensional tolerances, surface finish specifications, and assembly requirements before production.

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

Incoming materials are checked against order specifications for material type, grade, thickness, and visible condition.

First Article Inspection (FAI)

Initial production parts are inspected against approved drawings for critical dimensions and workmanship before batch production proceeds.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

Inspections are performed at applicable cutting, bending, welding, and finishing stages. Identified deviations are addressed before affected parts proceed to subsequent operations.

Final Quality Control (FQC)

Finished products undergo 100% pre-shipment inspection against applicable order specifications, covering relevant dimensions, appearance, and assembly requirements.

Packaging & Shipment Verification

Before dispatch, product identification, order quantities, and protective packaging are checked against applicable shipment requirements to help prevent mix-ups and transportation damage.

Inspection & Testing Capabilities

Dimensional Measurement

Use calibrated measuring tools to check specified dimensions against drawing tolerances. Tool selection depends on feature geometry and required accuracy.

Visual Inspection

Examine fabricated parts for visible defects in welding, surface finish, and workmanship.

Assembly Fit Checks

Verify mating components, mounting interfaces, and alignment against approved assembly requirements.

Quality Management & Certifications

ISO 9001 and Documented Quality Control

CNAKST's quality management system is certified to ISO 9001.

Inspection Records

Maintain relevant inspection and measurement records to support product acceptance and quality review.

Nonconformance Control

Identify deviations, implement corrective measures where required, and re-inspect affected products before acceptance.

Continuous Improvement

Review recurring defects and production deviations to identify causes and implement corrective actions.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the production lead time for custom sheet metal orders?

-

Custom orders typically take 15–25 working days after drawing approval and material availability, depending on order quantity.

2. How are sheet metal products packaged for international shipping?

-

Standard export packaging includes rust-preventive oil, bubble wrap, stretch film, and reinforced wooden crates or plywood pallets. Custom packaging is available on request.

3. Can I arrange a third-party inspection before shipment?

-

Yes. You can arrange an independent inspector to conduct an on-site factory inspection or an unannounced inspection.

4. Can I specify a coating color for my custom enclosure?

-

Yes. Provide a RAL color code or approved color sample with your specifications so the required finish can be reviewed before production.
