Manufacturing Overview
AKST (Hefei Excellent Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.) manufactures sheet metal components and assemblies at its facility in Hefei, China.
Our manufacturing operations cover flat sheet processing, structural fabrication, surface treatment, and mechanical assembly. Products are manufactured according to customer-approved drawings, material specifications, and component configurations.
The product range includes industrial control cabinets, energy storage enclosures, EV charging equipment housings, telecommunications chassis, and sheet metal components for industrial machinery.

Sheet Preparation and Processing Area
Sheet metal storage racks and processing stations support the preparation and handling of metal sheets before fabrication.
Structural Fabrication Workshop
Designated work areas accommodate fabricated panels, equipment frames, and multi-part assemblies.

Surface Treatment Workshop
Surface treatment and powder coating operations are housed in a dedicated workshop.
Mechanical Assembly Workshop
A designated workshop area accommodates mechanical assembly of metal enclosures and cabinets.

Core Manufacturing Processes
Fiber Laser Cutting
Fiber laser cutting produces sheet metal blanks, external contours, connector openings, cable cutouts, and ventilation patterns from programmed cutting paths. Cutting parameters are selected according to material type, thickness, and part geometry.
CNC Turret Punching
CNC turret punching creates mounting holes, slots, and repeated ventilation patterns in flat sheet metal. Programmed tool sequences enable consistent feature placement according to the specified design.
CNC Press Brake Bending
CNC press brakes form sheet metal into cabinet panels, flanges, brackets, and equipment covers. Bending sequences and tooling are selected based on material thickness, bend radius, and part geometry.
Welding and Structural Fabrication
Welding joins formed metal panels, reinforcing members, and frames into cabinet structures and equipment housings. Welding methods are selected according to base material, joint design, and structural requirements.
Surface Preparation and Powder Coating
Degreasing, cleaning, and phosphating prepare applicable metal surfaces for powder coating. Coating colors and finishes follow the approved product specifications.
Mechanical Assembly
Mechanical assembly combines fabricated panels, frames, brackets, and removable covers using specified fasteners and mounting hardware, following approved assembly drawings.
Materials & Processing Capabilities
Sheet Metal Materials
AKST manufactures sheet metal enclosures, cabinets, and fabricated components using cold-rolled steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and selected high-strength steels.
Cold-rolled steel is used for control cabinets and equipment frames. Stainless steel (304/316) is available for selected industrial and outdoor enclosures. Galvanized steel is used for electrical housings, while aluminum is used for instrument enclosures and lightweight components. Copper and high-strength steels are available for specific component applications.
Sheet Thickness Ranges
Published sheet thickness ranges for selected AKST products include:
Stamped Sheet Metal Parts: 0.5–3.0 mm
Bent Sheet Metal Parts: 0.8–6.0 mm
Precision Sheet Metal Parts: 0.5–2.0 mm
Construction Machinery Parts: 2.0–6.0 mm
Home Inverter Housings: 1.2–1.5 mm
PLC Control Cabinets: 1.5–2.0 mm
Battery Storage Enclosures: 2.0–3.0 mm
Stainless Steel Outdoor Enclosures: 1.5–2.0 mm
These thickness ranges apply to the listed product types. Material grades, dimensions, and thickness specifications are determined by the approved product drawings.
Production Capacity
Prototype and Batch Manufacturing
AKST supports prototype fabrication, individual component production, and production batches of sheet metal enclosures, cabinets, and fabricated structures.
Production schedules are established for the applicable product configuration, approved drawings, material availability, and order quantity.
Prototype Fabrication
Prototype fabrication is available for customer-specific sheet metal parts and enclosure designs.
Published sample development periods for selected Desktop Instrument Chassis and Charging Pile Control Chassis models are within two weeks.
Batch Production
Selected stamped and bent sheet metal parts have published production lead times of 15–25 working days.
Several listed enclosure and custom cabinet models also specify 15–25 working days, subject to their individual production requirements. For the PLC Control Cabinet Enclosure, this period begins after drawing approval and material availability.
Trial Orders and Repeat Orders
Small trial orders are available for selected Home Inverter Cabinet models. Minimum order quantities for other cabinet configurations depend on the product model.
Repeat production uses the approved product drawings and manufacturing specifications for the applicable order.
