1. The torque of the torque collet is usually set at the factory. However, when tapping tougher materials or after a period of use, it must be readjusted.

2. The torque collet housing has two small holes that allow for partial torque adjustment, which is crucial for torque control below M3.

3. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry up the retaining ring. Insert needle-nose pliers into the two round holes on the torque adjustment ring. Turning clockwise increases torque, and turning counterclockwise decreases torque.

4. After adjustment, insert the retaining ring into the small hole in the collet housing. The torque will then remain unchanged.

5. The torque collet ensures high-precision threads; therefore, it should not be carelessly placed, dropped, or thrown to avoid affecting tapping accuracy.
