When choosing an equipment shell, the material composition is the first dimension you encounter. Metal materials can be categorized into several specific types, such as aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Aluminum alloys achieve lightweighting while maintaining structural strength, and anodizing forms a stable protective layer. Stainless steel achieves corrosion resistance through a passivation film formed by chromium, but the carbon content and alloy ratio of different grades affect its mechanical properties. Engineering plastics include common options like polycarbonate and ABS resin. Polycarbonate offers the advantage of a combination of light transmittance and impact resistance, while ABS resin improves surface smoothness through its styrene content. Composite materials typically refer to fiber-reinforced matrix structures; for example, combining glass fiber with a resin matrix can increase overall rigidity while maintaining a lighter weight.

 

Once the material is determined, the manufacturing process directly affects the final shape and performance of the shell. Die casting is suitable for forming complex structures from metal materials, injecting molten metal into a mold under high pressure, but the mold precision determines the stability of the finished product's dimensions. Injection molding corresponds to engineering plastic processing; the molten plastic cools and solidifies within the mold cavity, and the gate location design affects the uniformity of material flow. Sheet metal processing involves bending and stamping metal sheets, and the bending radius parameter needs to match the material's ductility limit. Surface treatment processes include different techniques such as spraying and electroplating. Electrostatic spraying uses the principle of charge adsorption to achieve uniform coating coverage, while the electroplating process deposits a metal coating on the substrate through an electrolytic reaction.
